Hamor Rock in Lillafüred, Miskolc

Hamor Rock is part of the Bükk National Park, which is near the city of Miskolc – in region Lillafüred. Since the second half of the 20th century, mountaineers began to conquer the mountain, so today there are about 50 routes that have been laid.

What to do at Hamor Rock

Hamor is a natural formation of rocks that stretches from Miskolc to Lillafüred. Since the 1970s, mountaineering have been popular here. During so many years of practice, professionals have developed a reliable insurance system, with which even beginners will be able to conquer the rock easily and safely. It consists of solid limestone stones, which although well developed, look wild because of the lack of vegetation. Most of the 50 routes are designed for lifting with a weight.

In addition to rock climbing, in the vicinity you can simply walk, breathe the clean mountain air and admire the views of Miskolc from a height.

How to get there

If you plan a trip by car, head west on the road to Lillafüred. You can also get there by public transport. It is necessary to take buses number 5 or number 15, departing from the center of Diosgyor. Nearby there is the famous Hamori lake.
