Lake Fertő

Lake Firth is the fourth largest lake in Central Europe. This is not only a popular tourist destination, but also unique in its kind Biosphere Reserve. Surroundings of the lake and pond itself are included in the list of sites protected by UNESCO. In the summer, there are numerous spas, built near the springs. In winter the lake freezes and turns into a big ice rink. 

The most famous building, located in the vicinity of the lake - the famous and magnificent palace, which belonged to the princely Esterhazy dynasty. For a long time in these places he lived and worked as a great composer Joseph Haydn, in whose memory is preserved in the palace memorial room. 

From Budapest to built on the shores of Lake City Ferted can be reached by train. It departs from the station Keleti, and all the expensive take about four hours.
