Museum of Fine Arts

Museum of Fine Arts

Museum of Fine Arts is the main art museum in Budapest. Here is the country's largest collection of unique works of foreign art.

The basis for the museum displays a collection served as belonging to the genus Esterhazy. There are eight permanent exhibits, which include works of Egyptian, Greek and Roman art schools, as well as a collection of paintings, painted by Italian masters 13 - 18 centuries. Pearl museum collections are considered to be works by Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci, Durer, Goya, El Greco, Velazquez, Rubens, Monet and other great artists. In addition, the museum can get acquainted with the works of ancient and European sculptors.

Better get to the museum by subway. You must go on the M1 line trains to the station "Heroes' Square".
